Combat boots are an excellent way to up your style game. Most people think of work boots, military boots and even motorcycle boots when they hear the word “combat boots”. Combat boots aren’t that way anymore. Combat boots come in many styles, colors and prices. I’ve found combat boots for as low as $39 to in excess of $1000. So there are options in everyone’s price range. My favorite boots are Dr. Martens. These boots are made in England and for the price range of $80 to around $160 they are very high quality. Dr. Martens have been around since the 1950s. These boots were a staple in the punk rock community, the working class, and later when the Seattle grunge rock took over many wore these boots. These boots pair very well with jeans and t-shirt. They also look great with chinos and a dress shirt, jeans and a oxford shirt and a sport coat, or even a full suit. My favorite way to pair combat boots is with a pair of distressed black denim jeans, a band t-shirt (I prefer a Slayer shirt) and a leather motorcycle jacket. I like this “bad boy” style. Combat boots are very easy to take care of. After purchasing I recommend getting some leather conditioner and apply to them. As they get dirty you can just wipe them off with soap and water. If you like for them to look worn in that’s all you need to do to them. You can also polish them and keep them looking new. Combat boots are one of the most versatile pieces you can have in your fashion arsenal.
