G-Eazy is an American rapper, musician, producer and actor. His style is straight out of a 50’s movie. His style has stayed pretty much the same since he hit the popular music scene in 2014. He has stayed with all black looks inspired by Country Icon Johnny Cash. He has focused on black t-shirts, Black jeans, black boots and his signature Yves Saint Laurent black leather jacket. His friend painted the back of it for him and he used it on the cover of his When It’s Dark Out album.
His style has stayed on point since he began. He has a cool retro style. He wears mainly black and when it comes to style he feels like a “less is more” attitude. When you dress as a minimalist “it is easy to figure out what to wear everyday and it takes no time at all to get ready” according to him. He likes to invest in classic pieces. He considers his classic style, design and his approach to music in the same way “if you take something that’s been around for a long time it’s stood the test of time and it will work longer into the future”.
Everyone needs a personal style He has there own “uniform” as he calls it. He says “I wear the same thing whether I’m at the airport or the grocery store or about to go onstage in front of 3000 people. My own uniform is inspired by something very classic and mid-20th century - motorcycle jackets, bomber jackets, varsity jackets, jeans and t-shirts, but with contemporary streetwear elements that I like to mix in.”
In a video on YouTube GQ asked him the 10 things he couldn’t live without. (this was 2 years ago, so some of this list may have changed.
The Rolex Presidential watch.
His signature Yves Saint Laurent black leather jacket.
APC distressed black skinny jeans.
Celine sunglasses
iPhone (he has 2. Because he doesn’t give his number to everyone).
Beats Powerbeats earbubs
Pomade and a comb
Book (he’s an avid reader)
Flannel shirts
Metal rolling suitcase
You will see he also wears Vintage inspired slacks, white t-shirts, and varsity jackets, bomber jackets and his leather jacket (all black). He can be seen also wearing a skinny fit suit. He prefers boots but He’s been spotted wearing Air Jordan 1s (my personal favorite). He seems to be plain and wear the same thing everyday but he actually takes pride in his attire.
Now we come to the iconic 50’s rockabilly haircut. He is very particular with his hair. He stated when he young he never got to go to a barber, because his mother always cut it into a bowl cut It’s a slicked back disconnected undercut with a skin taper fade. This is one of the easiest cuts to style. Dampen your hair get a dollop of pomade (I prefer Suavecito Pomade Firme hold). Slick it back with a comb. If you prefer a firmer hold spray with hair spray. To add more volume, you can dry it with a hair dryer and style with a brush after you apply your pomade.
